Chef's Tip

Cooking time: 6 minutes. Can be consumed as is with the addition of cherry tomatoes and oil or as a tasty base for delicious main courses.

How is Umami Black Garlic Produced?

Italian Umami black garlic is produced through a process of thermal ripening, without the addition of preservatives or chemical additives. The process is entirely natural and occurs in an environment with controlled temperature and humidity for about 1 month at temperatures between 50°C and 80°C. This production technique greatly enhances the natural properties of garlic, changing its color, taste, and texture. Additionally, the aging process makes it extremely digestible compared to fresh garlic.
